Reordering Validation Check Codes
When you validate a past order for reordering, we re-check everything that could have changed since the customer last ordered it — whether the items are still on the menu, whether prices moved, whether the discount they used is still running, and whether the store still offers that order type. The result comes back as a validation_check_code so you can decide what to tell the customer before you rebuild their cart.
If the order can be reordered exactly as it was, validation_check_code is null. There is no success code — the absence of a code is the success case. Any value below means something changed, and the response tells you what.
| Code | Description |
|---|---|
| 2000 | One or more items, combo meals or modifiers from the original order have changed or are no longer available |
| 2001 | More than one of these checks failed, so the response carries several changes at once |
| 2002 | The discount used on the original order is no longer available |
| 2003 | Some of the prices have been updated since the order was placed |
| 2004 | The delivery fee has changed |
| 2005 | The order type used for the original order is no longer available in this store |
These codes are returned by the Cart 2.0 reorder endpoints. Call Reorder Validate first to see what changed, then Reorder to build the cart. The Re-Ordering guide walks through the whole flow.
